About the CrossYoga Network
CrossYoga and the CrossYoga Network began under another name in 2015. In 2017 it became CrossYoga and CrossYoga Academy launched it’s first 200hr Yoga Alliance approved teacher training. In 2025 CrossYoga Academy also offers +300hr certifications with Yoga Alliance approval.
The CrossYoga Network is an international not-for-profit network of yoga instructors. There are approximately 160 instructors/instructors to be around the world (as of counting in 2025)! After certification, instructors are connected due to their common vision of bringing CrossYoga / Christian yoga to the world. Instructors choose what style of yoga they want to teach as CrossYoga is not ‘a style of yoga’. We use any safe style of yoga and add prayer, scripture, meditation into the practice.
Instructors are welcome to use the CrossYoga brand /logo as long as they teach Christ Centered Yoga.
The network meets when an instructor invites to something! Currently, we meet online once a month. There is also a Facebook group where prayer requests, classes and the like is shared amongst instructors.
CrossYoga Academy and CrossYoga
CrossYoga Academy and CrossYoga is both a mission and a organization that offers a variety of CrossYoga teacher training, and other types of training. Take a look at the link in the menu: CrossYoga Academy for information about trainings.
CrossYoga is an international organization founded by Rie Frilund Skårhøj (from Denmark, Europe) in 2015/2017.
CrossYoga is based on the Bible's view of life and people: All people, without exception, are valuable and loved. Through Jesus Christ, we can find our original purpose, redemption, healing of the heart, forgiveness, and a new chance. Every breath taken on the mat is an opportunity to surrender self, release stress and connect to the hope and love that God offers. Often through times of silence and stillness in the yoga practice, we are able to hear God's quiet, soft voice and encounter peace. Everybody, no matter faith, is welcome in CrossYoga!!
If you want further details on our 200hr training, you can purchase the book: “Learning CrossYoga. A Guide to Christian Yoga.” It is available at any Amazon online store
